Hi friends, and welcome to the June edition of What’s Up Wednesday. Time to share a little about what’s been going on in June. Thanks so much for stopping by!
What We’re Eating
Monday – Roast beef and veggies. It’s the perfect winter meal!
Tuesday – Leftover roast beef
Wednesday – Steak, chips and salad
Thursday – Dinner at Allawah pub, so I’ll most likely order a chicken schnitzel with two lots of gravy. Because it’s winter, we’ve decided that if we want to eat out, we’re going to keep it local.
Allawah pub and Lilong Chinese restaurant are our local winter hangs. In the summer we’ll venture out to Newtown and the city.
Friday – Spaghetti and meatballs. I went to Ikea last Sunday and left with home organisation things and frozen meatballs.
The weekend is full of surprises because I have no meal plan.
What I’m Reminiscing About
Warm weather!
What I’m Loving
I was thinking about this prompt and came up with a whole list of things I’m not loving because it’s winter. So that’s not great.
Hmmmmm……I really had to dig deep, and I came up with winter fashion.
Yes, I think I do love winter fashion because you get to wear more clothes. Haha, that sounds weird. What I mean is that you get to wear a variety of layers, mix and match outfits, and accessorise. In summer, especially in Sydney, it’s often too hot to wear much beyond the basics. Winter gives you a lot more options, and I do enjoy putting outfits together.
What We’ve Been Up To
At the risk of sounding boring, nothing particularly exciting is happening right now. It’s the usual work and home routine, as well as cosy nights.
But I’ve realised that sometimes the ordinary weeks, when everything is just moving along as it should be, are actually the good ones. I’ve come to appreciate the “boring” seasons because they usually mean everyone I love is okay and life is steady.
What I’m Dreading
Whenever I dread anything, it’s usually medical-related. If you’ve been reading along, you’ll know I have major anxiety about anything to do with going to see a doctor. But yay to me, I still show up for the usual tests even though the stress of them probably takes years off my life (dramatic much).
I got some blood test results back today. A few things were a bit low or high, nothing serious, but it does mean another follow-up test in four months.
I really need to stop leaving every appointment feeling like I’ve been given a dramatic life sentence when, in reality, it’s all manageable.
What I’m Watching
Oh my goodness, I binge-watched Gavin and Stacey in June, and I absolutely loved it! It’s a British comedy written by James Corden and Ruth Jones about two families from very different parts of the UK whose lives get connected when Gavin from Essex and Stacey from Wales fall in love.
I love every single character, and I’ve told everyone I know that their lives are not complete until they watch this series. So far, only one coworker has taken my advice, and now her life is so much better for it. Every morning she greets me with, “What’s occurring, Miss Ruth?” Haha. IYKYK.
What I’m Listening To
This month it’s all about 90s music… Whoomp! There It Is!
What I’m Wearing
I bought this jacket from Zara, and I’ve been wearing it a lot this season.

I’ve also been wearing my very bright Onitsuka Tiger sneakers I bought in Japan.

What I’m Doing This Weekend
It’s a no-plans weekend.
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month
The July school holidays! Woop woop! I’ve got some fun outings planned with friends, and I also have tickets to see Disney on Ice. Gotta get a Disney fix!
That’s a wrap for June! We’re halfway through the year already, and I’m still convinced we had Christmas about five minutes ago. Time is wild.
Hope your June was a good one — here’s to an amazing July!

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
